gather.town

Some people might know gather.town very well from the strange days of the Covid19 lockdowns.

It is a virtual environment, where anyone can control a pixel-avatar. When nearby another parrson, a videocall opens on the fly.

We used it a lot to build virtual events.

Nowaday tools like this lost a little bit of popularity, since we can meet each other in person.

I got asked about this tool this week and it looks like it is still alive and kicking.
