Go beyond the borders of play: Role of Play - Book
...by Ben Schouten and Menno Deen.
I had the opportinuty to look at this book today. And this is an amazing work, that shows, how much possibilities games have to offer today.
This book looks closely at the most recent developments of games, that were brought into this world in the last 20 years. The subtitle hit the nail on the head: “New Games, New Chances. A Future Perspective on Play in Society“
It’s not much about theory, but it shows in many, many examples, how actually deep the rabbit hole goes with play today.
A good reader and starting point for anyone, who thinks about making new kind of games. And also a good reader for people, that want to briaden their view about what games actually are.
Look at the book at the website of Ben Schouten or look at the book at amazon.
