The Machine - Game Boy Color game
...an new(er) adventure for GBC

This is a new game for Game Boy Color, made by Ben Jelter.
Although adventure games are not my genre in general, this game has a very special mood, that attracted me.
Besides the mood and great graphics, also the game itself looks very interesting.
The Storyline:
In The Machine, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue numerous different storyline paths, leading to one of over 25 possible endings. In this original dystopian world, explore the inner workings of a gigantic machine and the people who inhabit it in the throes of an election that could dramatically shape the future.

I am calling the genre a 'pancake adventure' because the story tree is an experimental format where it is short but very wide so that on subsequent play-throughs things can be totally different. If you play through the demo a couple of times and make different decision you will start to see the flexibility of the story!
